Kaitlin and John’s Big Fat TODAY Wedding Details

America voted, and the results are in!

One of the biggest twists of Kaitlin and John’s Big Fat TODAY Wedding was that America voted on every detail of their wedding, from the dress to the cake. Even my dress was chosen by the viewers! Luckily, America has good taste. The wedding was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, and everything came together perfectly.

How did my predictions stack up? I guessed right both of our dresses, the flowers, the rings, and hair, but was pleasantly surprised by the welcome sign and cake (which paired perfectly together), signature cocktail (omg, yum) and honeymoon.

Here’s a look at the winning picks and how everything turned out!

 

 

The Dress: Pronovias Irune Dress (Elegant Affair)

The Tux: Calvin Klein Navy Tuxedo

The Welcome Sign: Floral, designed by Sheila Dodson-Wright, owner and lead designer at Tableau Events

The Rings: Mix & Match—For Kaitlin, Single Stone by TWO by London, a platinum eternity band with 1.85 carats of rose-cut diamonds. And for John, a Todd Reed band from Greenwich Jewelers, featuring black jade and sterling silver. (Nail polish: Minimalist by Essie)

Bridesmaid Dresses: Blush ombré by The Dessy Group in Cameo, Blush and Rose (mine was Rose, inspired by Pantone’s latest Color of the Year)

Party Favors: Ben’s Garden trays (the three sayings in the middle were the options available for guests)

Hair: Soft, modern updo by Ashley Palumbo

Cake: Floral, a four-tiered chocolate cake by Sylvia Weinstock filled with chocolate, caramel and vanilla and draped with a sweeping bunch of cherry blossoms.

Flowers: Romantic roses. The bride’s bouquet was made from white and blush garden roses, pink spray rose and white and blush tulips.

Signature Cocktail: Honeymoon Sunset, a fruity Champagne and tequila cocktail (get the recipes for all the signature cocktail contenders here!)

Honeymoon: Greece, where the newlyweds will start off in Mykonos and then travel to Crete for a Luxury Retreats vacation full of beaches and good food and wine.
